WGB Kinsey (Private) Limited had humble beginnings back in 1955 when William Gordon Bain Kinsey and his son Basil Jack Walter Kinsey, started a labour-based construction company with a pick up truck, a three ton Chevrolet, a three ton Bedford and two Ingersoll Rand compressions as their sole mechanical components. A niche had been found in the construction market in what was called Salisbury, the present day Harare. The initial business focus was trenching and laying of electrical cable, later venturing into water reticulation, road works, township development and earthen dam construction.
